PostSubject: Is This Project Dead?   Tue Oct 07, 2008 7:35 am

Well, another programmer walked away from this project AGAIN, leaving me high and dry with no clue of what to do next. While I'd like to stay optimistic even in the bleakest of times, the failure of this project is a possibility that everyone, myself included, will have to face.

I still haven't found a way to convince any of the horde of skilled programmers from the RPG Maker XP forum to help. If anyone has some skill in RPG Maker XP or knows someone that does, please let me know ASAP. We could desperately use the help, and I really want this to succeed.

I've got an idea of where to get another programmer from, but there's no guarantee of anthing. Let's all just hope for the best.

Ditto. I can only do some minor spriting, but if that's all done, then there's nothing I can do... No So, who is still in this?

What about the things besides the programming. Like Scripts (Supports, Chapters, Endings) sprites and artwork? Are those done yet?

The general story is done, and I've type up around 60% of the chapter scripts. Artwork... just got 4/5 lords done recently.

Fair amount of sprites are done, but can't give you a completion percentage. Not an accurate one, at least. Programming is the only real hold-up.

I have all the music from FE6-8, so I don't really need any more. Original tracks would be nice, but aren't necessary.

Well, thats bad news. I'm okay with game maker, but definetely not advanced enough to do a Fire Emblem. I know some people over at GMC who might wanna do it though...

i can complete the programing, if you want, but it would be wise to seek as many willing programmers as possible in the meantime because we need all the help we can get...

i have not been very active for a while becuase it seemed all was going pretty well, in the the mean time i finished compling all the basic battle animation data we will possibly need and i am working on the stat system to incorporate with the battle engine the other programmers have created so far. I could probably finish the battle system altogether in a week or so.

As for the level maps, i have done some work with that and should not take too long to complete, all that remains is the transition and foundation to tie the systems together.

Though it is a bit far off, we can't let this project die, its the inspiration that will create the base for future, if any, fire emblem fan games
